We start this week with news of three colleagues who last Saturday completed an amazing 33-mile bike, hike and paddle challenge called ‘Race the Sun’, in the process raising £2,000 for the Action Medical Research children’s charity. We proudly salute:
· David Wecke – Head of Safety and Sustainability
· Marta Leszczynska – Training and Recruitment Manager
· Sam Teggart – Operating Manager (Twickenham)
Their endeavours included a 21-mile bike ride, ten-mile hike and two-mile paddle, taking in the beautiful Dorset coastline and areas such as Ballard Down, Corfe, Old Harry Rocks and Swanage.
Sam said: “We are a bit tired, but really pleased to have hit the £2,000 mark and delighted that a really worthwhile children’s charity will benefit. In order to complete the challenge, we set off at 0815hrs and, as the name suggests, pushed ourselves to complete it before sunset. We are delighted to have done so and thank all who have supported us.”
