Transport UK London Bus was honoured to participate in the 2024 Pride in London parade on 29 June. Our Alexander Dennis Enviro400 EV, a familiar sight on Route 63, led the Transport for London section of the parade, a powerful celebration of the LGBTQ+ community in TfL and London.

Transport UK London Bus’s colourful pride bus certainly stood out amongst the revellers on the parade route, which started at Hyde Park Corner and travelled through landmarks such as Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square.

TfL's theme for Pride 2024 was 'Every Story Matters 2024: Spotlight on Volunteering', which showcased the impact volunteering has on the LGBTQ+ community in London. It was an honour to support the theme and TfL.

Drivers entered a ballot to guide the parade, and the lucky winner was Sashelle Benjamin, with Lisa Riley as a second. Four lucky TUKLB team members won a ballot to represent the business and TfL in the parade. Bobbie Enright, David Mulcahy, Bosco Sham, and Paul Armstrong-Smith were the winners.

Lorna Murphy, Operations and HR Director at Transport UK London Bus, said:

“Being part of the 2024 Pride in London parade on behalf of TfL was a huge honour. As a business, we are incredibly proud to celebrate diversity and ensure that our LGBTQ+ people have a voice that is heard.”
