Our drivers, engineers and controllers are unsung heroes, so we are pleased to publicly acknowledge Brian Scott, a driver based at Battersea Garage, for his exemplary service.

Brian joined us just over 20-years ago and was initially unsure how long he would stay ‘on the job’. Two decades later and he has become an integral part of a team that has created the capital’s busiest bus garage (one that successfully mobilised three Transport for London services in the last few weeks).

Brian recently met Lance McFarlane, his Operating Manager, to share the following anecdotes:

·      He has enjoyed seeing young people grow into adults and remain bus users.
·      He loves serving his passengers, many of whom he has got to know.
·      Away from work, he adores being a chef, with a particular focus on curry, fish or jerk.

Lance said: “Brian is affectionately known as King of the 344’s and he really epitomises the best of our company and indeed our city. He deserves recognition for serving London so well.”

Brian, we salute you and all London bus drivers for keeping our capital moving.

More from us soon.
