We are delighted to share that Beddington’s Dion Darke won the ‘Safety Champion’ accolade at last night’s London Bus Awards, held at City Hall.
In his role as a Driver Support Supervisor, Dion mentors new colleagues, drawing on just over two decades of experience.
Universally popular, Dion’s approachable demeanour and creative safety campaigns are established features at Beddington, which is home to 12 Transport for London (TfL) services.
Dion’s contribution to garage life undoubtedly ensures that fellow team members remain fully briefed in the face of a dynamic operating environment and his success is richly deserved.
As the images below show, Dion was joined yesterday by several other Transport UK London Bus representatives, including Luis Dos Santos Manteigas, a nominee in the ‘Outstanding Newcomer’ category and Marta Leszczynska, shortlisted for embedding a diverse and inclusive culture.
